Simulation theory and the global cabal
Both the radicals I dated had a lot in common. They were my age, still living with their moms. Both referred to their moms as ‘bitches’. Neither one had a lot of friends but did have a handful of really close friends. Neither used social media (of course). My bias was to suspect that since they both couldn’t hack it at life, they had to invent an alternate reality in which they had agency. I tried to support and get on board with their philosophies but the one was a conservative racist that was convinced a women should know her place. He made me watch videos about IQ’s and the shapes of skulls and asked a lot of rhetorical questions to prove his ridiculous points. The other was a disgusting slob (never having to pick up after himself) that jumped on any contrarian theory. His gospel was shoddily curated content he found on the fringes of the internet. He became livid when I interrogated him on the integrity and credibility of the stories. Both accused me of being corrupted by the mainstream narrative for my inability to see the truth. “Can’t you see they are controlling us”.
It’s laughable since I am a complete sceptic and understand that the truth is really convoluted.
“Have you ever tried to manage a project, across 7 teams, affecting 6000 people on a shoestring budget while trying to get approval from an executive board with ideological differences? Have you sat with the legal team stripping away at your 8000-word proposal that took 10 months and 145 revisions to compile while they eliminate any legal (and logical) ambiguity? Parsed through several layers of bureaucracy, what is finally signed off on is a labour of fatigue. The result is the least offensive common denominator. Often times a non-sensical, but legally sound mess. Kudos to the global cabal for managing 8 billion people across 192 countries. Rather them than me.”
